Gateway Church is located in the heart of Hamilton East at 490 Grey Street, making it easily accessible on foot for many people living nearby.
The church is within walking distance of Hamilton East shops, Claudelands, the university area, and parts of the central city. Grey Street and the surrounding neighbourhood have well-connected footpaths and pedestrian crossings, making walking a simple and convenient option for Sunday gatherings and events.
If you’re coming from the city side, the nearby river paths and bridges provide a scenic and enjoyable walk into Hamilton East. The Waikato River paths also connect well with local streets leading toward Grey Street. Hamilton River Path - East River Bank

If you’re coming with friends, family, or others from your area, consider travelling together where possible. This helps free up parking spaces closer to the building for families with young children, elderly attendees, and those with accessibility needs.
It’s also a great opportunity to connect with others before and after church.
There will be limited on-site parking available at Gateway Church, with priority given to accessibility parking, elderly attendees, and families with young children.
There is also street parking available throughout the surrounding Hamilton East neighbourhood. If you are fit and able, you may be asked to park a little further away and enjoy a short walk to the building.
Additional parking can also be found throughout the wider city and Hamilton East areas, including options such as Cook Street Carpark and central city parking facilities managed by Hamilton City Council. Garden Place Car Park
