The construction team are hard at work at 490 Grey Street!
Hi everyone, everyone is back on deck and hard at work fitting out our home at 490 Grey Street. I thought I would give you an update on where things are at with our budget, progress on the fit out and the question I get asked most often – when will we be moving in?
Budget
Almost all of our pricing has been confirmed and we remain pretty much on budget. I say that with a little nervousness as we all know there are financial ‘surprises’ that sneak up on us during any construction.

Fitout and Timeline
As noted in our earlier communications, we lost a couple of weeks due to required engineering amendments. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that we will be able to recover this time. After meeting with our project and construction managers, we now expect completion toward the end of April.
Below you can read through the programme of works both completed and in progress.
COMPLETED:
Demolition and forming new openings completed
All structural steel engineering, fabrication and installation complete
Roof reinstalled
First floor infill complete with framing completed
Kitchen, toilet and external wall framing completed
In ground plumbing and drainage services completed
Lift shaft framing and floor rebate completed
PARTIALLY COMPLETED:
Sprinkler system 75% complete - with pump to be installed and droppers yet to be finished
Aircon – 15%
Auditorium Roof insulation 85% complete.
Electrical first fix - 50% completed

Ceiling installed in Auditorium
Framework for Theatre Seating
Lift installed
Lighting
Security system
Exterior Doors and windows
Glazing
Reinstate ceiling after sprinkler system installed
Timber joinery and bench tops
