Connect groups are a place for connection with a smaller number of people. Gateway has a number of different connect groups with a variety of focuses. If you would like more information on any of these groups please contact: office@gatewaychurch.org.nz
Crave/ Pursue connect groups:
If you are a young person at Gateway between the ages of 13 to mid/late 20-somethings, check out the crave or pursue pages for a range of different groups that cater for this age.
Young Families:
This group runs every Wednesday night at 7.30 pm. The first and third Wednesday is for guys and 2nd and 4th is for the girls. Wednesday nights will be a mix of social events, studies, prayer and worship. Every 6 – 8 weeks we will meet all together on a Saturday for a social event. Young Families 2:
This is a group for young couples, ideal for those with children. Guys meet one week, gals the next at various households around Hamilton, then get together very 8 weeks socially. Contact Ryan or Jess on 078532227 or 0274825227
Indian Group:
Santosh runs this group which has an emphasis on India and the Indian community. All are welcome to attend. Both Hindi and English are used with a focus on sharing lives and sharing from the Bible. There is usually a shared supper with an Indian flavour. This group meets the second Friday of every month at 7pm.
Mums Relate:
A group where women can get to know each other on a real level and build relationships while their children are being cared for. It is a place for supporting women as individuals as well as parents. It is also a place where women will be challenged to grow wherever they are at on their journey. We meet every second Tuesday, starting at 10 am with a cup of tea, in the Gateway Nursery.
Fortyish and Further On:
This group is for those in their 40′s and over, they meet weekly in Forest Lake on Thursdays from 7.15pm. Contact Ian and Alwyn aldwyn.midwife@xtra.co.nz for more information.
South City Connect:
All are welcome to be part of this group that meets weekly 7.30pm in Matangi (just minutes from Hillcrest). For further details and direction contact Michael or Margaret 8564463.
Summit Climbers:
We are a group of women who join together to have fellowship, grow in the Word, pray and become closer in relationship to the Lord. We have a heart to extend the kingdom of God in local and global communities. We meet fortnightly on Wednesday, 10 am, in the Gateway building.
Go Mission:
If you have a heart for missions or for prayer then you are welcome at our missions focused prayer group. We meet monthly, share an ethnic meal, learn about missions, different cultures, the people working there. After this, we will have a time of prayer for nation and missionaries of focus. If you are interested please leave your name with the information desk on Sundays, or you can email or call the gateway office (this is so we prepare enough food). Cost is $5 pp to cover food.
We meet on the first Friday of the month at 6.30pm.
